Live by the hours that pass you.
Rush by the tip of your nose.
Kiss the edges of your lips.
Give the light to your eyes.
I’ve fallen upwards.
Slipped into the light.
Seen future days.
And kisses in the nights.
Push to the limit and you’ll find an edge.
We push and we end up ahead.
This is it.
The colors.
The fire.
The touch of a nervous meeting.
Rattles with warmth up my spine.
She fell into my arms.
Our lips met.
Vodka and Red Bull.
Lights and Smoke.
I felt her dress under the tight squeeze of my arm.
I felt her hands run through my hair.
I began to open my eyes and pull away.
She bites my lip to make me stay.
A moment of release.
A tease of what I really want.
A girl who I can bring and dance with for hours.
Where our lust, or whatever you call it, intoxicates us.
A girl who wants a poet.
And my words will show that the sweetest release is our interlocking fingers.
The lasting smell of you on my pillows.
Until then I’ll rage.
Find a secret heaven in the neon lights.
Imagine the color stain our skin.
Wouldn’t that be fun?
I’ll figure out what happened last night.
But at the very least.. waking up on a Naval ship is checked off my bucket list.
Not entirely sure what we did was legal.
It’s only 7.5 hours until I wake up and begin my escape to the south. Not to the bright lights of SDCC but to something much… much… brighter.
My best friends.
I’ve been keeping my costs low and saving to be able to afford this. I want to give my best friends the time of their lives. And even as I write this I know that the money I’ve saved doesn’t equal that happiness. Just seeing them, them seeing me, is the happiness we all are looking for.
It’s that color that seems to fade away in our everyday lives. Because when you have those people that really breathe life into the rays of the sun… everything is colors.
So I look forward to the immediate future. I’ll wake up in the darkness and hit the road with my headlights on.
Then I’ll kiss the sunrise.
Surf the wind with my fingers.
Hear the rushing sound of the present scream past my ears.
And fall in love with the future.
